Employee will adhere to Vermont regulations regarding data breaches and security, including the Vermont Security Breach Notice Act.

8. Code Quality, IT Security, & Professional Conduct

Employee is expected to maintain high code quality, adhere to company IT policy, and follow Vermont-specific data security best practices.

Employee will participate in regular code reviews and follow secure development life cycle protocols.

Employee will promptly report any security vulnerabilities in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

Installation/use of unauthorized software or external storage is prohibited.

9. Non-Competition, Non-Solicitation & Non-Disclosure

Non-compete clauses are highly restricted under Vermont law and, if used, must meet Vermont's reasonableness standard with a narrowly defined geographic and temporal scope, and only cover the protection of company trade secrets.
