This Alaska Graphic Designer Employment Contract (the “Agreement”) is made and entered into as of [Date], by and between [Employer Legal Name], located at [Employer Address], hereinafter referred to as “Employer,” and [Employee Legal Name], residing at [Employee Address], hereinafter referred to as “Employee.”
1. Position:
Option A: The Employer hereby employs Employee as a full-time Graphic Designer.
Option B: The Employer hereby employs Employee as a part-time Graphic Designer.
2. Responsibilities:
The Employee will be responsible for the following duties, including but not limited to:
- Conceptualization and design of visual assets (logos, branding, marketing materials, web graphics, UI/UX layouts, packaging, advertising collateral, infographics, digital and print media).
- Adherence to brand guidelines.
- Creation and management of digital files.
- Preparing print-ready artwork with knowledge of prepress and production for Alaska-based print vendors.
- Working with in-house and remote teams.
- Participation in project meetings relevant to Alaska time zones.
- Proficiency in relevant graphic design software (Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Figma, Sketch, etc.).
- Required experience with Alaska businesses or industries (such as tourism, oil & gas, indigenous organizations, or government entities).
- Knowledge of ADA and accessibility compliance for public-facing materials in Alaska.
Reporting structure:

3. Work Location:

6. Employee Benefits:

8. Confidentiality:

The Employee shall handle client and company data securely, in compliance with Alaska’s data privacy statutes.
9. Professional Conduct:
The Employee shall maintain a high standard of professional conduct, including:
- Respect for cultural diversity, including Alaska Native cultures.
- Prohibition against discriminatory or harassing behavior.
- Adherence to guidelines for appropriate imagery and language in design.
- Compliance with the Employer’s IT and information security policies.
- Restrictions on the unsanctioned use, download, or sharing of design assets or proprietary templates.
10. Outside Activities:
Option A: The Employee is permitted to engage in freelance work or side projects, provided they do not create a conflict of interest with the Employer.
Option B: The Employee is prohibited from engaging in freelance work or side projects that overlap geographically or thematically with Alaska markets or clients.
11. Termination:
Option A: This is an at-will employment agreement, and either party may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with [Number] days written notice.
Option B: This agreement may be terminated with [Number] days written notice.
Upon termination, the Employee’s final paycheck will be provided within three working days, as per Alaska Statutes.

The Employee is included in the Employer’s occupational safety programs, per Alaska Occupational Safety and Health (AKOSH).
The Employer is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment, adapted to Alaska conditions.
15. Equal Opportunity Employment:
The Employer is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based on sexual orientation, gender identity, race, religion, marital status, disability, national origin, veteran status, age, or status as an Alaska Native or member of an indigenous group, in compliance with Alaska law (AS 18.80.220).
16. Entire Agreement:
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral or written.
17. Amendment:
This Agreement may be amended only by a written instrument signed by both parties.
