This Alaska Accounting Independent Contractor Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made and entered into as of [Date] by and between:

4. Independent Contractor Status
Contractor is an independent contractor and not an employee, partner, or agent of Client.
Contractor is responsible for all personal income tax, self-employment tax, business license registration, and insurance.

Client does not provide unemployment or workers’ compensation coverage for Contractor.
5. Ownership of Work Product
All accounting deliverables, records, and documentation prepared by Contractor under this Agreement shall be the exclusive property of Client.
Upon termination of this Agreement, Contractor shall promptly return or destroy all confidential materials belonging to Client.
6. Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure
Contractor acknowledges that they will have access to confidential and proprietary information of Client.
Contractor agrees to maintain the confidentiality of such information and not to disclose it to any third party.
Contractor shall comply with all applicable Alaska statutory obligations, including Alaska Stat. § 08.04.662 (if a licensed accountant).
Contractor shall adhere to Client’s privacy policies and comply with all applicable anti-money laundering, anti-fraud, and data breach notification rules, including Alaska Stat. § 45.48.
Prohibition on Unauthorized Use: Contractor shall not use, share, or copy Client's data without authorization.
Data Breach Notification: Contractor shall immediately notify Client of any data breach in accordance with Alaska law.
7. Liability and Indemnification
Contractor shall be responsible for errors or omissions, late delivery, or breach of professional standards.

11. Term and Termination
